Free Digestive System Cancer Screening Clinic Held for Telangana State Police Personnel
In collaboration with Team Vimalakar Foundation and KIMS-SUNSHINE Hospitals, the Telangana State Police Command and Control Center in Banjara Hills recently hosted a health initiative to promote early detection and prevention of digestive system cancers among police personnel. A free digestive system cancer screening mobile clinic was launched as part of this initiative under the guidance of Dr. E. Vimalakar Reddy, Senior Surgical Gastroenterologist and Liver Transplant Specialist at KIMS-SUNSHINE Hospitals. The clinic offered a comprehensive range of diagnostic tests, including ECG, endoscopy, ultrasound, X-ray, mammogram, LFT, serum creatine and RBS. These tests were conducted at no cost to the participating police officers.
Our team of experienced medical professionals at KIMS-SUNSHINE Hospitals, including gastroenterologists, surgeons and radiologists, provided expert consultations and medical advice to the participants. The clinic’s mobile nature allowed for easy accessibility to police officers stationed in various parts of the state, ensuring that even those in remote areas could benefit from these vital screening services.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to expand access to quality healthcare in Telangana. By providing state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities in a mobile setting, the clinic aims to bridge the healthcare gap and improve the overall health and well-being of the state’s population.
